What we do

Arts & Crafts

Free Play

International

Let’s Play organises regular educational and fun activities for children at refugee accommodation centres and other locations throughout Vienna after school hours and at weekends.
These include arts and crafts, playing games, doing jigsaw puzzles and other general fun activities.
The activities provided free-of-charge by Let’s Play enable refugee children to meet other children from their own countries or other places where conflict or natural disasters have forced them to uproot and flee their homes.
In safe environments, children, whose lives had been dramatically changed, can spend a few hours a day just being children and making new friends.

We want to make the children feel welcome and improve their chances of integration in society.

Our approach

Let’s Play is based on the concept of ‘free play’. This is a central component of childhood development and is recommended by both educators and researchers.
It allows children to discover and develop their own interests and talents, explore their imagination and creativity, and strengthen their social skills.
We primarily use German, providing children with a playful approach to the language.
